Back in 2001, Tottenham Hotspur were in dreamland. They were 3-0 up at half-time against Manchester United.
45-minutes later, they were witnessing a 5-3 defeat. Astonishing.
Dean Richards, Les Ferdinand and Christian Ziege put the hosts 3-0 up and saw them set for the second-half, however it all went wrong for Spurs at White Hart Lane in a memorable 45-minute collapse.
Andy Cole, Laurent Blanc, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Juan Sebastian Veron and David Beckham all scored for The Red Devils in the second-half giving United the three points and leaving White Hart Lane stunned and silenced.
However, a 3-0 lead at half-time isn’t the biggest margin thrown away…..
