Laurent Koscielny is arguably one of the best central defenders in the Premier League and probably in Europe. He’s been tracked by FC Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich in recent years so that tells you something.
If you regularly watch Arsenal, the difference between them with and without Koscielny is massive.
The team look a lot more solid with the Frenchman, and look almost disastrous without him.
His partnership with Per Mertesacker has developed over the years and the mixture of pace and power helps the duo keep attackers at bay.
