5. Tobias Rau
Tobias Rau joined Bayern in 2003, the player had already been capped by his national team at senior level and was guaranteed a place by the Bavarian team. Unfortunately the German’s career at Bayern Munich never really took off due to a number of injuries even when he regained fitness he found it hard to get into the team because of stiff competition with more established players.
After just 19 games with the club, Tobias Rau joined Arminia Bielefeld in 2005, even at Bielefeld his injuries continued and forced him to retire in 2009.
