2. Thomas Lemar (Monaco)
Arsenal were close to signing Thomas Lemar from Monaco towards the end of the summer transfer window, but in the end the deal fell through. However, they are expected to go back in for the France international when the market re-opens. Lemar is a class act on the wing and at just 22 he has plenty of room to improve still. Monaco may also now be willing to accept less than the £92million that the Gunners reportedly offered back in August now that they look to be heading out of the Champions League.
