SillySeason looks into first-team players who should consider quitting Anfield
With the transfer window now officially open, business is about to pick up in the transfer market with clubs set to bring in new faces and ship out old ones.
In the past two days, SillySeason have looked into potential sales from clubs and who could be set to leave. First we covered Chelsea (See Here), and then yesterday, we looked into players who should leave Arsenal (See Here).
Today, we are going to focus on Liverpool and highlight five players who should consider quitting the Merseyside club for the sake of their career.
Yesterday it was reported that Brendan Rodgers was ready to sell SEVEN from his current squad, so it does make this article a little easier to put together, but the five choices are pretty obvious players.
So lets begin with five stars who should consider leaving Liverpool.
5) Fabio Borini
Starting the list, which is in no particular order, is Italian striker Fabio Borini, and unsurprisingly this won’t be the only striker on the list that should leave Anfield.
Borini, who spent last season out on loan with Sunderland, decided to snub a permanent move to The Black Cats and ordered his agent to reject any approaches for him as he wanted to stay put at Liverpool.
After deciding to stay over the summer, Borini still failed to break into The Reds‘ first-team and was largely considered as fourth choice, behind Daniel Sturridge, Rickie Lambert and Mario Balotelli.
When called upon, albeit not very often, Borini failed to shine at Anfield and with Danny Ings now arriving from Burnley, Divock Origi returning from his season-long loan at Lille, and another striker likely to come as well, his playing-time will be very limited if he stays put this time around.
A few Serie A clubs are reportedly keen on Borini.
