3) Benjamin Stambouli
Spurs have already let go Paulinho, Capoue and Lewis Holtby this summer, and another midfielder who could be transferring away from the Lane is Frenchman Benjamin Stambouli.
Pochettino is after another central midfielder to partner Nabil Bentaleb next season, and with Ryan Mason and Moussa Dembele also in the squad, Stambouli could find himself squeezed out at N17.
The former Montpellier man was used mainly in the cup competitions for Spurs last season in his first campaign at the club, and impressed on most occasions by putting in some tenacious displays. However, Pochettino favoured Mason alongside Bentaleb for the Premier League games, and someone of Benji’s talent should be playing week-in week-out which won’t be guarenteed at Spurs next season.
It’s expected that he will join Capoue at Watford this summer, with a deal thought to be quite far down the line already.
