David Beckham scored the original halfway line goal for Manchester United against Wimbledon back in 1996. This is the goal that long range efforts always get compared to, and although not quite as far out as some of the others, the way that Beckham makes it looks so effortless and classy gives it the edge. The ‘keeper wasn’t even that far off of his line, but when a ball is hit so well there is little that you can do to stop it.
