You will never see goals stranger than these!
There is nothing more entertaining than great goals and sometimes the best goals are the strangest.
I remember seeing some strange and amazing goals back when I was a young lad, especially when going to the local Football games to watch the local sides play, one in particular stands out.
I clearly remember a match between two local teams and the conditions were atrocious, the rain was pelting down, it was cold as ice and the storm clouds were hanging heavily above the Football pitch.
The homeside were 2 – 0 down withing 15mins of kick off and were struggling to control the wings as the away team kept on attacking as the home team desperatly hung on untill half time.
THE STRANGE EVENTS AFTER HALF TIME
As the half time break ended the home team sorely made their way back onto the pitch, the dawnting task ahead of them, they knew there situation, score three goals or at the very least two and get the draw, now I should mention the homeside were in a very sticky situation, if they lose this game they get relegated, draw and the still get relegated, the only way out of this was a win, it did not look good for them.
So out the came, the away side looking confident and the homeside looking defeated already, within five minutes of the match the home team was caught on the defensive once again with the away side nearly netting another, however, the keeper got a hold of a cross and quickly cleared, the ball was pelted into the attacking half of the home team and an away team member headered the ball, but it was an unlucky header as the ball went over the keeper who came out too far and into the back of the net!. score 1-2.
The away team then kicked off and began attacking the wings again, a great play saw the away team cross the ball in perfectly for their forward who failed to get onto the pass slipping, the defence was onto it clearing the ball up the middle and lobbing the ball into the homeside box, the pass failed to meet anyone and the keeper slipped in the massive pool of water as he watched the ball slowly trickle into the back of the net, 2-2.
A STRANGE ENDING TO A STRANGE FOOTBALL MATCH
It was the 88th minute that decided this game in an epic way, both teams for the last 45mins battled it out in the tough conditions, however, it was a freak event that put an end to it all, as it hit the 88th min the homeside caught a break up the right wing, the winger threw the ball into the box and the forward got his head onto it, the keeper parried the ball away which threw it outside the 18 yard box, just then the homeside attacking midfielder ran onto it and pelted the ball toward the keeper right at the moment a lightening strike filled the pitch, the goalie was blinded and the ball hit the back of the net, 3-2, the homeside ended up winning and avoiding relegation, amazing scenes!.
