Chelsea striker Fernando Torres could be about to return to his first club, Atletico Madrid, in January.
The forward’s loan deal at AC Milan looks set to be cut short in the winter transfer window due to some bad performances and lack of action and the Spanish club are ready to swoop in and take him.
Torres’ first club was Madrid and the club’s assistant German Burgos has claimed it would be “wonderful” if he re-joined the La Liga outfit. He said:
“A return for Torres? I don’t want to create misunderstandings, I’m just stating my opinion, but it would be wonderful.”
With Milan set to prematurely end his loan deal in Italy, he could soon make a short-term return to the club where his career began.
