The Chelsea boss insists fernando Torres will stay at the club despite being excluded from the side as they beat Leicester 2-0

The Spaniard was on the bench for Chelsea’s first Premier League clash of the season against Burnely and was unused throughout the match, this weekend he didn’t even make the substitutes as the Blues ran out 2-0 winners.

The former Liverpool world-beater has netted just 20 Premier League goals in 110 games since his ÂŁ50m record move back in January 2011, and his future at the club has been in doubt since the arrivals of Diego Costa and Didier Drogba.

Italian giants Juventus, Roma and AC Milan have reportedly shown an interest in the forward this summer, but Blues boss Jose Mourinho insists the 30 year-old is going nowhere.

“I decided to keep the same team and I had a bench with balance; one central defender, one full-back, one defensive midfield player, one attacking midfield player, one winger and one striker,” he said.

“At this moment we are playing one match a week but that’s over next week, then we have Capital One Cup, Champions League and Premier League matches all together.

“We will have three matches every week in September, October, November and December so it will be easier for all of them because they will all be playing.

“I want three strikers in the team. I cannot do a season without three strikers. I want him (to stay).

“He will play and score goals, to be very useful for us, he is a fantastic guy, a fantastic professional, so there is no problem.”
