Liverpool defender Daniel Agger has reportedly revealed his desire to leave Liverpool after the signing of Dejan Lovren from Southampton. Arsene Wenger is out looking for a new defender after the departure of Thomas Vermaelen to Barcelona was announced and Arsenal are firmly in the race for the Danishman. But Wenger is now facing competition from Tottenham and West Ham who declared their interest in the player earlier.
However, Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has admitted that he is yet to recieve any offers for the 29-year-old and is also adament to sell the player for no less then £12 million. “I’ve seen some stories on that but, no, we haven’t had any enquiries,” Rodgers said.
“Dan’s still getting some work done on his knee, he’s been a bit unfortunate since America. He’s still getting treatment but we haven’t had anything, no offers.”
And While a move to West Ham looks rather unlikely, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is poised to rival the Gunners’ move for Agger’s signature.
