Tottenham enter race to sign Doumbia

Tottenham have joined the race to sign Seydou Doumbia alongisde Chelsea and Arsenal. The player’s representative is due in London this weekend to discuss a possible summer move.

The CSKA Moscow striker has attracted interest as mentioned from Chelsea and Arsenal but talks have not been held with either of the two clubs as of yet. Back in 2012, Doumbia won the Golden Boot in Russia and this season he has bagged 16 goals in 18 games.

The Blues and The Gunners have both been monitoring Doumbia and his goalscoring ability for the past few seasons but CSKA’s various asking prices, from ÂŁ15m to ÂŁ30m, have put them off making a move. However, both clubs are still registering interest, although they both have targets they would prefer over the 26 year-old. Chelsea would rather make a move for Diego Costa and Arsenal would much rather move for someone cheaper.

Everton and Newcastle have previosuly been interested too, but he could prove too expensive for the both of them. All the signs show that Spurs could very soon win the race and get their man.
