Tottenham Hotspur are set to bid for Glasgow Celtic goalkeeper Fraser Forster.

The North London club are looking at Forster as a replacement for Hugo Lloris, who has attracted interest from elsewhere.

Lloris has been a target for French Ligue 1 Champions PSG, and the Fench international has been reluctant to sign a new deal due to the fact that Tottenham missed out on the Champions League qualification at the end of the season.

Tottenham will demand around ÂŁ20 million for Lloris services, money which will be enough for a transfer of Forster.

Forster had another superb season at Celtic, as the hoops ran away with another Premiership title.

The keeper kept 14 clean sheets in a row, and has been included in Roy Hodgson’s World Cup squad heading to the finals in Brazil this summer.

A move to the Premier League may hold down that regular place in the intetnational fold, after Forster has proved his worth in Scotland with Celtic.

Forster previously spent six years at Newcastle, however he failed to break into the squad at St James’ Park.

Southampton and even Real Madrid have been interested, however Mauricio Pochettino has the funds to make Forster his first signing.
