Tottenham Hotspur could be willing to spend up to £30million for ex-Manchester United striker Giuseppe Rossi from Italian side Fiorentina in the Winter in order to help add goals to the current side.

Despite spending up to £100million in the Summer, Spurs have struggled to get going so far this season and are looking very shy in front of goal despite signing Valencia hitman Roberto Soldado.

With ongoing news linking Jermain Defoe with a move to the MLS in January, Andre Villas-Boas is worried that he will be left with just Soldado and wantaway striker Emmanuel Adebayor.

It appears that Rossi tops the Spurs wishlist, but they may also make a move for Paris Saint-Germain star Ezequiel Lavezzi.

Reports are suggesting that technical director at White Hart Lane, Franco Baldini, is already in talks with chairman Daniel Levy about potential transfer targets in January.
