Tottenham Hotspur are afraid of upsetting Harry Kane as far as to see him leave this January.
Spurs suffered an embarrassing 7-2 home defeat at the hands of Bayern Munich on Tuesday which exposed a clear disparity within the squad this season.
Mauricio Pochettino has admitted to the start of the campaign being difficult and how it could get worse. Tottenham are currently 6th in the Premier League after losing 2 of their 7 games played so far, one of them against Newcastle United at home.
Kane is due to turn 27 next July and he has not won a single strap of silverware in his entire career. This entire Tottenham side is yet to earn a trophy since Pochettino’s arrival in 2014 and overall, since 2008. Their Champions League final finish last season wowed many but it very quickly fizzled out after the summer.
Kane is regarded as one of the best forwards in the English top-flight and Rio Ferdinand has advised him into leaving to win more trophies. The Times claim that Spurs have gone frantic thinking Kane might just take his compatriot’s advice and flee this January. Pochettino himself, is not guaranteed to stay at North London with Real Madrid and Manchester United being long-time admirers.
