Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly chasing Leeds United winger, Jack Clarke along with a number of Premier League outfits.

The 18-year-old has thrown himself into the limelight with his impressive displays under Marco Bielsa. He made his senior debut in October and since has registered 18 appearances for the Lillywhites, 2 of them starts in the Championship.

Leeds are aware of the growing interests in their academy starlet and have taken the initiative to make Clarke their best paid U18 player in the history of the club. Crystal Palace saw their opening bid get rejected by the West Yorkshire outfit last week while Manchester City are reported to have inquired about him earlier as well.

Clarke’s agent is former Leeds defender, Ian Harte who has also ruled out a move for the youngster away from Elland Road anytime soon. When asked on Twitter whether the winger will stay for the match against Norwich City on February 2nd, Harte replied, “Jack will definitely be there and I hope he will be starting.”

Tottenham have not made any signings so far this season and with the final week of the January transfer window rolling around they are unlikely to do so. Daniel Levy has not sanctioned much financial leverage due to the toll the stadium renovation is taking on the club.

While Clarke has been pegged to have massive potential, he is still fairly unproven and is priced at £10m. Spurs have proven themselves to be an elite side in player development but while have to fight a lot of factors in swooping up the teenage winger, including going up against money-stacked top-four rivals, Manchester United.
