Tottenham Hotspur had a surprising face in the crowd named Jaan Fiete-Arp during last night’s 1-3 loss to Wolves. The teenager posted pictures of the pitch and the scoreboard after Harry Kane’s opening goal of the game.
This has led to speculations regarding the Hamburger SV striker’s immediate future. Fiete-Arp is a highly sought out rising footballer who is currently on the wishlist of plenty of European clubs.
Tottenham made history this Premier League season by making no signings in the summer transfer window. Mauricio Pochettino has still managed to keep the team in the title race (although a loss to the Wanderers does put them 9 points behind Liverpool) but the manager might not be opposed to a signing especially in the strike department.
Currently, Harry Kane and Fernando Llorente are the only available options in the centre-forward spot with Vincent Jansson making a recovery from injury. Reports emerged earlier that Spurs might be ready to get rid of the latter and Llorente’s deal is set to end next June.
Fiete-Arp scored within 10 minutes of his senior team debut for Hamburger SV in the 5-3 German Cup win over Erndtebruck. The 18-year-old has a stunning record of 18 goals in 19 matches for the German U19s.
He has featured in 10 games in the Bundesliga 2 this term but is yet to net his first league goal. Tottenham are an ideal place for youngsters to naturally grow and develop their footballing talent. Serving as a second-string option behind Kane could be massive for the teenager.
