Striker set for new contract at White Hart Lane
Tottenham Hotspur are set to begin contract talks with star-striker Harry Kane.
The 22-year-old is enjoying yet another fine season in front of goal, becoming the first player to reach 20 goals in the Premier League so far this season, overtaking Jamie Vardy in the process.
His form at Spurs has attracted interest from rival Premier League clubs, with reports claiming Jose Mourinho wants to sign him for Manchester United should he get the Old Trafford job.
It’s been reported that clubs would have to pay Spurs up to ÂŁ50million for their star-striker, but it now looks like he’s set to become unsellable as he pens a new long-term deal with the club.
Another New Deal
If Kane was to sign a new deal at White Hart Lane, it would be his third new contract in 18-months, but with his current one only being worth ÂŁ30k-a-week, officials at the club want to offer him a substantial pay-rise.
According to reports, the England international could be offered a deal worth around ÂŁ100k-a-week, resulting in a ÂŁ70k pay-rise.
