Tottenham Hotspur Prepared To Take Back Welsh Star For €60m

Tottenham Hotspur are readying up a convincing bid for Real Madrid outcast, Gareth Bale. The Welsh Wizard is not expected to be Zinedine Zidane’s plans for the upcoming season just like he was in the manager’s previous spell at the club.

Ever since Zidane returned to the hot seat at Santiago Bernabeu, Bale’s future with Real got cast into further doubt. Manchester United were thought to have some interest in him before but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer completely tore up the club’s transfer strategy which targetted star athletes like him.

There has not been much buzz around Bale due to the sheer size of his contract with the Galacticos. Spurs are reportedly prepared to offer €50-60m for his return to North London but will not be able to afford his full €17m yearly salary.

Marca claims that Tottenham would be happy to take back one of their former stars. Mauricio Pochettino is looking to revamp his squad this summer, having already added Tanguy Ndombele and coming close to agreeing on a fee for Giovani Lo Celso.

He has also acquired a future prospect in Jack Clarke from Leeds United but the Argentine boss might still be looking for some star power. What the Champions League final demonstrated to Spurs fans is that their club might lack the pedigree to really compete against the likes of Liverpool or Manchester City.

Adding a Champions League winner like Bale would completely change the dynamic of this club moving forward. But the giant roadblock in this transfer saga remains his mammoth-sized wages.

Bale’s agent has already notified the public that he is happy to stay at Real and see out the remainder of his contract. We’ll have to wait and see if the 30-year-old is forced out of the Spanish capital by the end of this summer.
