Tottenham Hotspur have entered the race to sign Sevilla star, Carlos Bacca, and are willing to offer up to £18million for the Colombian.

Spurs have sent scouts out to watch the 28-year-old and they were impressed with they saw during the club’s Europa League game against Borussia Monchengladbach.

Bacca has been on the Premier League radar for a while now, with Arsenal previously linked with the striker, but Tottenham have now entered the race and are ready to launch a formal bid in the Summer.

Mauricio Pochettino is desperate to add more firepower to White Hart Lane, with Emmanuel Adebayor and Roberto Soldado both failing to impress this season, and Bacca could be the man to come in and help take the pressure off youngster Harry Kane.

Kane has been a stand-out perfomer in the Premier League this season, and a possible arrival of Bacca could bring even more out of the Englishman.

However, according to reports, Daniel Levy is only interested in signing younger players so that they could possible make money off them in the future, and with Bacca at 28, Levy maybe feels his best is past him.
