Tottenham Hotspur To Play At The Wembley Till February As Delay Over The New Stadium Continues

Tottenham Hotspur’s anxious wait to shift to their new stadium has been extended again as the North London clubs are set to play their home matches at the Wembley stadium till mid-February.

The North London side are facing an extensive delay as they are waiting to get the final nod before open the stadium for supporters. The capacity of the new stadium is believed to be 62000 and Spurs will play all their matches at the new stadium.

All the January Premier League fixtures which were supposed to be staged at the new stadium have been moved to Wembley and dates for the inauguration of the new stadium is yet to be fixed.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy ahs thanked the supporters for their patience and is hoping to resolve the matter as soon as possible. “I should like to apologise to our fans and thank you for your continued patience.

“The response from those who attended the familiarisation event was great to hear and reinforced our commitment to deliver an exceptional matchday experience for everyone.

We shall now seek clarity in respect of building test schedules and test event dates and provide further information on these in the next two to three weeks.”
