Tottenham are ready to beat Liverpool to the signing of Sevilla left-back Alberto Moreno, by offering £14 million plus forward Roberto Soldado on loan.
Moreno is one of the hottest properties in Spain at the moment, with Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham all showing an interest in the player.
The Red’s were thought to be leading the race for the player’s signature after making a £20 million pound bid last week.
But new Tottenham manager Maurichio Pochettino has been given the green light to make a move for the Spanish defender after making him his priority target this summer.
The inclusion of Roberto Soldado has raised questions over the forward’s future at White Hart Lane and it seems the player has been deemed surplus to requirements under Pochettino.
