According to reports, Tottenham are set to make an audacious bid to land Juventus forward Paulo Dybala this summer. Chairman Daniel Levy is keen to fully back Mauricio Pochettino in the transfer market and deliver the silverware craved by the club’s supporters.

Dybala’s future at the Allianz Stadium is under the cloud, with the player reportedly keen on quitting the club. Regarded as one of the finest forward in his position, the 25-year-old is viewed as a casualty after the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Tottenham are confident that a deal for the Argentinian can be thrashed out in the final two weeks of the transfer window. However, for doing so, the Lillywhites will have to break their transfer record for a second time this summer.

Tottenham signed Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon for ÂŁ55m earlier this month and may have to shell out ÂŁ80m for Dybala. They have also been linked with a ÂŁ67m move for Real Betis midfielder Giovani Lo Celso.

Pochettino has Harry Kane as the only proper striker in his ranks, although Lucas Moura and Son Heung Min are also caoable of playing up front. Dybala also appeals to the Argentine gaffer given his versatility and the fact that Christian Eriksen wants to leave the club this summer.
