Tottenham Hotspur are lining up a shock £10million bid for Arsenal forward, Lukas Podolski.
The German international has grown frustrated with life at the Emirates Stadium and has already admitted that he may look to leave the club in January if his role at the club doesn’t change.
Podolski, who was part of Germany’s World Cup winning squad from the Summer, has struggled to cement a first-team spot under Arsene Wenger, and with Alexis Sanchez and Danny Welbeck both arriving over the Summer, the 29-year-old has fallen further down the pecking order.
Despite being a fan favourite in North London due to his personality and off-the-field antics, Podolski may quickly become a villain to The Gunners fanbase as Spurs hot up their interest.
The White Hart Lane club are desperate to add more firepower to their side, with Roberto Soldado failing to impress in England, and Mauricio Pochettino believes Podolski could be the right option.
However, they face an uphill battle to sign the German after he famously said he would rather retire than join Spurs.
