Davinson Sánchez signs six-year Tottenham contract.
Tottenham defender Davinson Sánchez has signed a new deal to stay at the club until 2024.
The Colombian has enjoyed a stellar first season with Spurs after joining from Ajax for a club-record £42m fee last summer.
Sánchez’s form has been so impressive that Tottenham are happy to let defender Toby Alderweireld leave the club after talks to extend the Belgian’s current deal failed to progress.
The club are hoping to tie down a number of key players over the coming months as they look to move into their new stadium.
Tottemham’s official Twitter account stated:
“We are delighted to announce that Davison Sanchez has signed a new contract with the Club, which will run until 2024.”
