Tottenham to offer Reid £60k-a-week

Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly offer West Ham United defender, Winston Reid, a contract worth around £60k-a-week.

The Hammers centre-back is set to leave Upton Park in the Summer once his contract expires, and four Premier League clubs are all interested in persuading him to join them come June.

Manchester United, Everton, Liverpool, Arsenal and now Spurs are all keen on signing the New Zealand international, and the latter have already put together a potential contract for the 26-year-old.

It’s believed that Reid will remain a West Ham player this month and will then leave for free once his contract expires in the Summer, but the race to sign him has already begun as teams look to gain the advantage.

If West Ham were to sell this month, they would want £7million for the centre-back, which most clubs are not prepared to pay, so that leaves Sam Allardyce with losing his star-defender for free at the end of the season.

Only Spurs so far are willing to meet Reid’s contract demands of £60k-a-week, making them favourites to sign him.
