Reports in Italy suggest the 30-year-old will be on his way to White Hart Lane in the coming days, should his current club wrap up the signings of Jorginho from Hellas Verona and Michel Bastos from UAE side Al Ain.
Pandev, who joined Napoli on loan in 2011 before making the move permanent a year later, is believed to be concerned over his future playing opportunities at the Stadio San Paolo and is intrigued by the prospect of a chance to experience the Premier League.
For Spurs, the Macedonian could prove a good stop-gap option, with Jermain Defoe off to Toronto next month and Roberto Soldado continuing to struggle to find form.
