Catalan giants willing to sell Turkish midfielder this summer
Arsenal could land midfield target Arda Turan for £23 million this season, with the Turkey international ready to quit Barcelona after just half a season.
The 29-year-old joined Barca last summer for £34 million, but was unable to appear until the second half of the season, following a transfer ban imposed on the club.
However, even after being free to feature for the Catalans, Turan made just nine La Liga starts under boss Luis Enrique and it is now understood that Barcelona are prepared to make a loss on the player who only signed for the club this time last year.
Turan became one of the most sought-after players last summer, after some impressive form for Atletico Madrid, and Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund and Turkish side Galatasaray are also interested in the Gunners target.
The midfielder is said to be considering his future at the Camp Nou, with options for across Europe, including a return to his native Turkey. But Arsenal will likely have to up their initial bid to sign Turan, with Galatasaray currently having tabled the biggest bid of around £17. million, so far.
Arsenal have already acquired Swiss midfielder Granit Xhaka from Borussia Monchengladbach for a fee of around £30 million this summer.
