Chinese outfit to offer Foxes star lucrative contract

Leicester City’s N’Golo Kante could become the next Premier League star to be lured to the Chinese Super League, with Shanghai SIPG ready to splash out £35 million for the French midfielder.

The 25-year-old is currently on international duty with France, as Les Blues look to win the European Championships, on home turf, against Portugal on Sunday night.

However, while the Leicester man is currently focused on his international football, sources understand that interest from the Far East could see Kante leave the King Power Stadium, with colossal wages on offer.

It is not yet understood how much Kante would be offered by Shanghai, who are managed by former Leicester boss Sven-Goran Eriksson, however, it is understood to be more than what the Foxes would be able to offer.

But Kante has yet to show an interest in a move to China, while he would have to consider the impact on his international career, if he was to move to a league that has yet to earn the respect that the likes of Europe’s leagues hold.

Fellow Premier League star Graziano Pelle looks set to leave Southampton for Shandong Luneng in a £100,000-a-week move, alongside Newcastle United’s Papiss Cisse, who joined the Chinese club earlier this week.
