Antonio Conte is targetting the Belgium midfielder

AS Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan admits he is aware that Chelsea have made contact with his club and want to bring him to Stamford Bridge this summer.

However, the 28-year-old insists he will not get himself involved in negotiations between the two clubs unless both parties can agree on terms of a deal.

It has been made clear for some time that new Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is keen to bring the Belgian to west London, as he prepares to take over the Blues when he completes his tenure as Italy boss following the European Championships in France.

And Nainggolan admitted to Belgian publication HLN Nina that Conte is looking to acquire his services, for the second time.

“There has been contact between Roma and Chelsea. But I will not get involved so long as there is no agreement between the clubs.” said Nainngolan.

“Chelsea are keen to strengthen their squad and Conte is a manager who wanted to sign me before. Chelsea are a big club.

“But the transfer is not a done deal and it would not be easy to leave Italy after 11 years.”

The Blues are reportedly ready to splash out over £30 million to bring Nainggolan to Stamford Bridge, and offer him a six-figure salary on a five-year deal.
