Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold thinks Jurgen Klopp’s honest approach towards his players makes him a perfect manager.
The 20 year old has been the preferred choice on the right side of the defence and Klopp’s guidance has been a huge asset for him. The youngster’s excellent progress hasn’t gone unnoticed and England manager Gareth Southgate took him to the World Cup where he started one game.
The youngster has been an inevitable part of the Reds first team set up and has racked up 59 appearances so far for his team. Klopp does rate the player very highly and the youngster played his part in the Champions League final where they crashed to a 3-1 defeat to Real Madrid in Kiev.
Alexander-Arnold said, “He obviously wants the best from everyone in his team and I like his honesty.
“He’s always straight with you and that’s good because you know what he’s saying is the truth, so you really listen to it and apply it to yourself.
“I think the way he goes about it is perfect.
“He knows when to be harsh with someone and when to put his arm around someone and help them along in tough times.
I’ve experienced that a few times and it’s helped me to keep on performing.”
