Turan has reportedly fallen out with current Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone after the Turkish midfielder threw his boot at a linesman in a Copa Del Rey clash with Barcelona.
Turan is hoping to leave Atletico in the coming months and Arsenal are looking to take adavantage of the situation by offering the Spanish champions £22m for their Turkish star.
The deal will not happen today, but it is likely that The Gunners will launch a formal move in the Summer at the end of the season.
Scouts from Arsenal have been sent out to watch the Atletico midfielder and from what they have seen, they are impressed with the wideman.
