NO MORE UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE THIS SEASON.

UEFA has taken the step to suspend the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League this season with immediate effect. The decision comes despite the committee earlier announcing that they will be sitting on the 17th of March together for an emergency meeting on video conference to discuss the future of all UEFA competitions this season.

No decision has been reached over the UEFA Euro 2020 as the tournament is still some time away and it will probably on the agenda for the meeting to be held on 17th March on videoconference.

However, following the trail of Serie A, Ligue 1 and La Liga, UEFA has now banned all football action until the coronavirus situation dies down or is resolved.

Football has already been hit with many leagues shutting down while others played behind closed doors and with news coming today morning of Mikel Arteta and Callum Hudson Odoi affected by the virus, UEFA has taken the wise step of backing away from money-making and focusing on public health and general safety.

Premier League now remains the only competition open which is honestly a surprise given that everyone else has shut down and they have had two people already affected with multiple teams quarantined.
