Arsenal manager Unai Emery is eager to look forward to the coming matches rather than enjoying his winning streak. Emery replaced Arsene Wenger as Arsenal manager after the former stepped down at the end of the season. His start was a forgettable one as Arsenal lost their first two Premier League matches. However, the Gunners have won all of the matches that have followed thus having a winning streak of 8 matches.

Arsenal registered their 8th successive win after winning a Europa League fixture against Qarabag 3-0. They are currently 5th in the Premier League table and are just four points behind leaders Manchester City.

However, instead of dwelling on the winning streak, Emery is looking forward to tomorrow’s match against Fulham at Craven Cottage. Emery said, “Usually I don’t look behind, every day I’m looking at the next matches – what’s in front. For me, whether we win or lose, every match is giving me a lot of information about how to improve. Every coach wants to win, but it’s not easy to do that.

For me the challenge is every day and every match – to look back to the last match is not good for us and not for me. My only focus is on Sunday against Fulham, to get three points to continue going up in the table.”

Tomorrow’s match will be Arsenal’s first match against Fulham since their Premier League encounter on 18th January, 2014. Only two players from that XI are in the current setup- Laurent Koscielny and Mesut Ozil.
