Arsene Wenger will leave Arsenal at the end of the season after managing the club for 22 years. During his reign, he has won 10 major trophies with the club which includes seven FA Cups and three Premier League.
The Gunners now face the mammoth task of replacing the Frenchman and are already looking at potential candidates. A list of potential candidates includes proven winners, such as Luis Enrique, Carlo Ancelloti and Massimiliano Allegri, and a number of former favorites like Mikel Arteta, Patrick Viera and Thiery Henry.
Enrique has been tipped the favorite to replace Wenger next season in recent weeks but the Premier League giants have been put off by his huge wage demands and are looking at other potential candidates.
Outgoing Paris Saint-Germain manager Unai Emery is now the favorite to take over for Arsene Wenger at Arsenal, claims the Daily and Sunday Express .
Emery was signed by PSG two years ago on the basis of his stellar European record, winning three Europa League titles with Sevilla. But has not been a success at the club despite winning domestic treble this season.
The 46-year-old could only finish second behind Monaco in his first season in charge.The Ligue 1 giants failed to make an impact in the Champions League after suffering painful exits at the last-16 stage to Spanish opposition in both seasons, the one big prize that the Qatari owners crave.
A major obstacle however is thought to be that the Spaniard wants around £8.5 million a year to move to England when he leaves PSG. West Ham United are also believed to be interested in him.
