There is currently a three way tug of war between Everton & both Manchester sides over who signs Ross Barkley. The Merseyside club are trying to sign Barkley whilst he is received the attention from bigger clubs. The English international has 3 caps and has had the interest of Manchester United for quite some time when City have just recently joined the race for him.
The midfielder was given his PL debut last season under the current Red devils manager David Moyes. When United discussed their shortlist last monday the majority of the meeting was spent talking about Ross Barkley. David Moyes wants to sign Barkely before the start of the next World Cup. Moyes is willing to exchange Tom Cleverley for Toffees player.
City assessed Barkley against Everton the other week and came back will good comments about the player. The Liverpool side are confident that he will re-sign his contract as he is happy playing under Roberto Martinez.
