Mathieu Valbeuna has enjoyed a wonderful spell at Marseille, making 224 appearances in his 7 and a half year spell there but he has revealed he is keen to find another challenge.

He has however, insisted that he will see out the current campaign (where he has started every league match). And he also expects to be included in France’s 2014 World Cup squad.

“My goal is to make a great second half of the season at the club and make a great World Cup.” Valbuena said

“It’s been eight years since I have arrived at OM. It’s been no secret that the experience abroad has been tempting to me. We’ll see…”

A number of European clubs are reportedly interested in the Frenchman such as Atletico Madrid, who are thought to have already made contact with Valbuena, and Barcelona, who he was linked with over the summer. And it is reported that Marseille will be looking around the region of â‚¬12m if he is to part with the Ligue 1 giants.
