Memphis Depay is set to be dropped out of the squad for this Saturday’s trip to Merseyside when the Red Devils face Everton.

The winger has been struggling for consistency since his move from PSV in the summer, and apart from some goals here and there, he has been disappointing on the whole.

And now  Van Gaal is getting fed up with Memphis’ cocky attitude, which is out of proportion with his performances.

This week Memphis wore the wrong shirt for Holland’s game against Czech Republic, wearing an old one, which abode too well on his preparation or professionalism.

However, If Memphis is dropped, Van Gaal does have several options from the bench: Ander Herrera or Marouane Fellaini could start ahead of him, although that would require a change in system.

Ashley Young could be played in Memphis’ position, which wouldn’t require any change in formation.
