Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is targeting Real Madrid’s star centre-back Raphael Varane in the summer transfer window.
The French international is potentially the subject of a £39.4 million bid from the West London club, as they make him the priority.
Mourinho is looking to strengthen his defence at the end of the season, he wants another young central defender to be able to partner Kurt Zouma in the future years.
The Blues’ boss also wants to add to his backline as experienced defenders, Branislav Ivanovic and John Terry, may soon call it a day at Stamford Bridge.
The 21-year old Varane has scored two goals in 32 appearances in all competitions this campaign.
