Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has insisted that Jan Vertonghen and Harry Winks might miss Arsenal clash due to hip injuries. Both the players are set to face fitness tests ahead of the mega clash on the weekend. Spurs already have Dele Alli and Eric Dier injured on the sidelines but will have their talisman Harry Kane leading the line for them against the Gunners in the north London derby.
Speaking to the media ahead of the mega clash, the Argentine manager said, “I don’t know because now we are going to train in the afternoon and we’ll see. I cannot say 50-50 or a percentage. We need to assess and see if they will be available or not.”
Speaking about the Dele Alli and Eric Dier’s injury situation, he added, “I don’t know. Now we’re focusing on tomorrow. After tomorrow we’re going to assess both and we’ll see if they can be in contention [for future games] or not, but we’ll see in the next few days.”
