Aston Villa are waiting on confirmation to wether they have sealed the loan signing of Tom Cleverley from Manchester United.

Yesterday, it was reported that the United outcast met Villa assistant Roy Keane to discuss a potential transfer to the club on deadline day.

However, it was understood that Cleverley was unhappy with the wages that Villa were offering and insisted on a ÂŁ1m pay-off to help cover the final year of his contract.

It appeared as if the deal was dead, but not Aston Villa still have hope of completing the deal.

The Villans are awaiting to hear from the Premier League to wether their last ditch efforts to push through a deal were successful.

If everything goes to plan, Cleverley, who also attracted interest from Everton, will join Villa on loan until the end of the season.
