Virgil van Dijk has refused to believe only Liverpool and Manchester City are title challengers this season.
Both the teams have been in scintillating form and are yet to lose a match in the top flight. City have been the superior amongst the two sides while Liverpool have been within touching distance of the league leaders.
City continued their perfect streak as they got the better of Watford in the last match while Liverpool will have their chance to close the gap when they take on struggling Burnley.
Chelsea and Arsenal are both can be considered as potential title challengers but the huge gap in points would make things difficult for them. But the Liverpool defender believes teams like Chelsea and Arsenal could pose a significant threat to their title aspirations.
“I don’t see it as a two-horse-race.
“If you look at everyone around us, Chelsea, Arsenal, then everyone has been doing brilliantly so far and it’s going to be very interesting.
“It will be very difficult, but we need to look at ourselves. That’s the only thing, what is best for us.”
“The thing is, we have so many games still to play and so many difficult ones for everyone in the league.
“Obviously, we want to keep winning, keep doing what we’re doing and we need to look at ourselves, that’s the most important thing. Then we’ll see if it’s going to be close.”
