Virgil van Dijk has revealed Liverpool don’t have any special plans for Manchester City. The two sides are due to face each other in the Premier League on Sunday.
City have been pretty ruthless this season as in the first seven games the defending champions have scored 21 goals, six more than the second placed Liverpool.
With both the sides consisting a host of attackers this game is expected to be an end to and stuff. City particularly the Sky Blues do have a number of versatile attackers with the likes of Bernardo Silva, David Silva, Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus who can destroy any team in their days.
However, van Dijk insists they just want to play this match like any other normal game. “Obviously you play against them, you know how they move.
“City have so much quality, all the strikers in the Premier League are from such a high quality anyway.
“But we don’t try to defend one player, we try and defend with the whole team, their whole formation and that’s the way we try and win the ball back and not concede.
“There will be moments like one on ones, that’s always going to be the case, but you’ve got to show your quality there as well with the help of your partner or full-back next to you.”
