Walcott return big boost for Arsenal, says Gibbs

Arsenal left-back Kieran Gibbs has issued a warning to their Premier League competitors, that Theo Walcott’s return to the Arsenal side will give the Gunners an additional boost after his nine month injury layoff.

The former Southampton man ruptured his anterior cruciate ligaments in a North London derby cup clash last year, and has since been forced to watch his team-mates from the sidelines.

However, Gibbs thinks the return of the 36 times capped England international will have opposition running scared, and can make up for the gap left by the injured Mesut Ozil.

“It is good to have Theo Walcott in the team, because he is such an important player for us. Theo coming back will give us a big boost,” Gibbs said.

He was also full of praise for Welbeck who arrived at the Emirates from Old Trafford for £16 million on Deadline Day, “Danny is going to be very important for Arsenal, because he’s given us another dimension to our play.”

Arsenal currently sit 8th in the Premier League table, and face Hull in their next league game.
