Wanda Nara has said that Inter Milan have not yet offered Mauro Icardi a new contract.
The player has been tracked by big-name clubs like Real Madrid and Chelsea in recent times.
Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi’s wife and agent Wanda Nara has revealed that the Serie A club is yet to offer a new contract to the Argentine ace. The player has been in brilliant form for the Nerazzurri and still has two and a half years left on his current contract at the San Siro. However, with big-name clubs like Real Madrid and Chelsea reportedly interested in making a move for the player, there have been speculations about a new contract at Inter.
However, the player’s agent and wife has said that there have been no talks of a contract renewal at the club as of yet and has also said that there is enough time for that to be discussed. Speaking to the media about the transfer speculations surrounding her husband, Nara said, “No appointment has yet been set, we hope to be able to do it during the week. Mauro still has two-and-a-half years on his contract, there’s nothing to worry about.”
She added, “Even my son Valentino is an Inter fan and every time he hears the news about a possible transfer on television, Mauro tells him that we cannot do something like that.”
