Wayne Rooney’s future in Manchester United has been in doubt throughout the whole summer, and it won’t stop here. According to The Mirror, the 27-year-old’s team-mates thinks that the England international will submit a formal transfer request, trying to force his way out of the club where he has spent his last nine years since arriving from Everton.
New Manchester United manager David Moyes has declared that Rooney is not for sale, and has rejected bids from both Chelsea and Arsenal, but can now be forced to change his mind.
– It is now clear that Wayne Rooney wants to move, said a dressing-room source according to the newspaper.
– It has nothing to do with David Moyes. He simply feels that he needs a new challenge.
– The talk around the club has been that he will officially ask for a transfer next week.
