Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that he and his management team are looking into the reasons why so many of his stars are getting injuries for long periods of time.

Going into the final few months of the season, Wenger could nearly field an XI of injured players and after Mesut Ozil picked up a hamstring injury on Tuesday night, the list keeps growing and growing, much to the frustration of the Frenchman.

Ozil now joins, Abou Diaby, Nacho Monreal, Kieran Gibbs, Aaron Ramsey, Theo Walcott, Jack Wilshere and January signing Kim Kallstrom, on the injury list at the Emirates Stadium, and after being questioned about the injury concerns, Wenger has admitted that a full-blown investigation will take place within the club.

“I am concerned that that happens,” he said. “If you look at our overall injury list going into such a final decisive part of the season, we have no Wilshere, Walcott, Ozil, Ramsey.

“We went to Bayern with no Gibbs or Monreal. Of course it is a concern, we are analysing very deeply why it happened to see if there is a link between these injuries.

“Walcott it was completely bad luck. Wilshere I don’t think it is linked with the other injuries, it is linked more with his history and the kick he got – the rest maybe we have to find out why it happened.

“We will analyse everything.”
