Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has promised the fans that the club will bounce back after their defeat to Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday night.
The Gunners lost their first game since their opening day defeat to Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium, but Wilshere has promised that the players won’t dwell on the result.
Despite dominating much of the game, Arsenal lost 2-1 to their German opposition and their English midfielder has told fans that they will put things right at the weekend.
“We’ve been there before and we were unlucky not to win that night,” said Wilshere. “It’s a great stadium and a great atmosphere, we know what to expect so we’ve got to be ready for that when the time comes.
“It was a tough game. They are a good team and they have great players but we played well as well. We were unlucky at times, Santi [Cazorla] had a great chance and we had a couple of other chances . But then they hit us on the break and we got caught but we’ll bounce back.
“They are efficient. Germans are always efficient, they’ve got great team shape and they have good individual players like we’ve seen here. They are a bit similar to us, they move the ball quickly.”
