Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, insists that Bacary Sagna will stay at the club and will be as committed as ever on the pitch once he returns from injury.

Bacary Sagna sparked controversy in the Arsenal camp when he said in an interview that he wasn’t happy with Arsenal’s transfer policy and was not impressed with the sales of Robin Van Persie and Alex Song.

These comments then sparked rumours that the Frenchman wasn’t happy at the club, however Arsene Wenger has dismissed those rumours by confirming he expects Sagna to stay at the club.

Wenger said: “Bacary loves the club and I think he will stay here,” he said. “His interview doesn’t reflect the love he has for this club.

“He has always given full commitment.”

Sagna’s current contract with Arsenal runs out in 2014. He is sidelined at the moment with a broken leg but is expected to return to action in three weeks.
