Chelsea keeper Petr Cech has allegedly been given the green light by the blues to make shock move to London rivals Arsenal. Arsene Wenger is on the hunt for another goalkeeper after David Ospina picked up an injury, and a £7 million bid for Cech could be the solution.
Cech has recently found games hard to come by since the arrival of Thibaut Courtois from Athletico Madrid in the summer, and has been publicly vocal about the fact that he will seek a move away if this trend continues. Blues fans would have been forgiven for assuming a slightly further move away than this however.
Mourinho has admitted that he won’t stand in Cech’s way should the goalkeeper ask for a transfer, and is prepared to accept a bid from Arsenal is repayment for Cech years of dedicated service to the west London club.
Chelsea already have a replacement for Cech in Australian keeper Mark Schwarzer, whilst Jamal Blackman has continuously impressed in the youth squad.
